The support period
The support period is the time in which Palomar publishes security updates for the version you run, and security advisories for it. The end date is a fact of the release: the app shows it in About, and the downloads page shows it beside each release.
How long it lasts
Support for Palomar Countermark 1.x lasts five years from the publication of the first stable version, 1.0.0; each security update stays available for download for ten years. Reported vulnerabilities are handled under the company’s coordinated vulnerability disclosure (CVD) policy, and security advisories are published for each affected version.
The end date
The exact date is published with the release: in About, under “Support until”, and on the downloads page, beside the release. This page does not repeat it, so that there are never two dates.
After support ends
After the end date, Palomar publishes no more security updates for that version. The ledger stays yours: the exports in open formats and the evidence packs are still read and verified without the app and without Palomar.
